My most beloved field of photography – I could shoot them all day every day. I am excited about showing off the authentic beauty of the person, their passions and quirks as well as a more stylised, editorial type of portrait.
I would describe my style as dreamy, ethereal fine art portraiture. I like both intense, bold projects with a subversive twist (like my recent work on modern masculinity and a concept of a dandy) and more subdued, often vintage inspired, intimate portrayals. I want my work to be conceptual, even surreal and multilayered, whilst still presenting great commercial value.
I believe the market no longer requires a clear division between the artist and the craftsman – elaborate, fresh, edgy photography, more metaphorical and socially involved than ever before, has now become desirable. Let me show you what I mean.
